Recently, the Guangzhou-Shaoguan North Expansion Project of the Fifth Company of CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully carried out the drilling of the first pile foundation across the entire line. This is not only the first pile foundation construction on the whole line, but also marks the official start of the project construction, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the project.

      The project's first pile foundation is located in the Huazishan Viaduct area, where construction conditions are extremely complex. The bridge needs to cross over National Highway 106, and the demolition of its girders and bent caps as well as the erection of steel-concrete composite girders are restricted by the minimum clearance beneath the bridge. In addition, National Highway 106 has heavy daily traffic, and normal road traffic must be maintained without interruption during construction. At the same time, in the bridge site area, there is a national defense optical cable on the north side of National Highway 106 and residential buildings immediately adjacent to the south side, placing extremely high demands on construction safety protection and surrounding environmental protection.

      In response to these difficulties, the project department planned ahead. On the premise of meeting the requirements of major traffic organization, it refined the construction plan and traffic diversion plan by stages, set up multiple safety protection facilities in the construction area, established a special control mechanism, and strictly adhered to the safety and environmental protection bottom line throughout the process.

      The drilling of the first pile foundation has greatly boosted the morale of the project. Taking this as an opportunity, the project will summarize pile foundation construction experience, strictly control project safety and quality, steadily advance the construction of the Huazishan Viaduct and various projects within the contract section, lay a solid foundation for the early opening of the entire line to traffic, and serve the overall economic and social development of the region with high-quality engineering.
