On December 7, the first batch of units of the China Power Construction Huairen 100 MW photovoltaic power generation project, constructed by the Beijing Institute, was successfully connected to the grid, marking the project's official transition from the construction phase to the operational phase.

As a key new energy project in Shanxi Province, the project has a total installed capacity of 100 MW and covers an area of approximately 4,500 mu, with a supporting 220 kV booster station and an 8.7-kilometer transmission line. The project adopts a "photovoltaic + mountainous area treatment" model, combining clean energy development with ecological restoration, thereby improving land use efficiency while helping to improve the regional ecological environment.

After the project is fully connected to the grid, it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 130,000 tons per year, save approximately 55,800 tons of standard coal, and reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by approximately 2,500 tons per year, delivering good environmental protection benefits and ecological value.

Since the project was launched, the Beijing Institute has worked in coordination with all participating units to efficiently complete various preliminary tasks such as project filing, land approval, grid connection, and environmental impact and water and soil conservation assessments, overcoming multiple challenges including construction coordination and equipment supply, and steadily advancing project construction. During the grid connection preparation stage, the team strictly followed procedures to complete drawing review, quality supervision, acceptance and commissioning, and other steps, ensuring the smooth completion of the grid connection work.

The implementation of this project will further optimize the local energy structure and reduce pollutant emissions, and is of positive significance for promoting local energy transition, implementing the "dual carbon" goals, and advancing sustainable regional economic and social development.
