Recently, the Xingfu River South Station project in Hecheng Weir, Wangjiang County, a key flood drainage project in Anhui Province constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 9 Co., Ltd., successfully passed completion acceptance.

This project is a key regional flood drainage capacity-building project implemented in accordance with the requirements of the Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Weak Links in Water Conservancy after Disasters issued by the Ministry of Water Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance, and the Three-Year Action Plan for Accelerating Post-Disaster Water Conservancy Damage Repair and Weak Link Constructive Governance in Anhui Province. The project is located within Wangjiang County, Anqing City, Anhui Province. Through the construction of a new drainage pumping station, diversion channels and structures, bridges, electromechanical equipment installation, and other ancillary works, it connects the Xingfu River with the Yangtze River. During flood season, the pumping station can pump and discharge precipitation from within the weir into the Yangtze River, comprehensively improving the flood control and drainage capacity of the county seat and the economic development zone. The total installed capacity of the pumping station is 13.2 megawatts, and the design drainage flow rate is 96.9 cubic meters per second.

During the project construction process, the project team organized carefully and deployed thoroughly, formulated detailed construction plans, strictly controlled construction procedures, and overcame difficulties such as the large project volume, numerous cross-construction interferences, and high groundwater levels. The team conducted safety management training and five-minute pre-shift education, improved risk identification, carried out in-depth hidden danger investigation and governance, and regularly organized construction work teams to conduct "exposing flaws" activities on construction quality. While ensuring safe production and project quality, these efforts effectively promoted the smooth completion of various construction tasks.

As a key flood drainage project in Anhui Province, after the project is completed and put into use, the Xingfu River will be directly connected to the Yangtze River. By regulating the county water level through discharging river water into the Yangtze, flood control pressure will be reduced, effectively solving the flood discharge and drainage problems in areas such as Huayang Town, Wangjiang Economic Development Zone, and the Hecheng Weir Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zone. This will further strengthen the local flood control and drainage safety defense line, while achieving the goal of "irrigation during drought and drainage during flooding," improving irrigation conditions, ensuring stable and increased grain production, and holding great significance for safeguarding production in the core area of the national-level modern agricultural industrial park.
