Recently, the commissioning ceremony for the Simandou iron ore project in Guinea was held at the Port of Morebaya. Guinean President Mamadi Doumbouya, Xi Jinping's Special Representative and Vice Premier of the State Council Liu Guozhong, Rwandan President Kagame, and Gabonese President Nguema attended the commissioning ceremony.

As the world-class iron ore deposit with the largest reserves and highest quality that has attracted global attention, Simandou has the unique advantages of concentrated ore bodies, shallow burial depth, and easy extraction. The commissioning of this project marks that the global iron ore supply landscape is about to undergo a major transformation.

Chinese enterprises play a key role in the Simandou project. In recent years, during the project's construction phase, XCMG has successively supplied Simandou with a complete set of equipment including cranes, excavators, road rollers, electric mining trucks, and graders, totaling more than 400 units.

As the earliest electric mining truck to enter the Simandou mine, the XGE105 consumes only 4.2% of the energy of traditional fuel-powered mining trucks, while its operating efficiency is 1.6 times that of traditional fuel-powered mining trucks, strongly supporting green mining at the Simandou mine.
