On November 13, the Laohuliangzi Wind Farm project in Shuicheng District, Guizhou, invested and constructed by PowerChina New Energy Company, successfully achieved full-capacity grid-connected power generation, marking the successful completion of the project construction.

The project is located in Yangmei Township and Miluo Town in the central part of Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, in a high-altitude area of 2,200 to 2,500 meters, with rugged terrain and complex climatic conditions. The project has a total installed capacity of 50 MW, with 10 5.0 MW wind turbine generators installed, along with a newly built 110 kV booster station and a 3.44-kilometer transmission line. During construction, the team faced multiple challenges such as low temperature and oxygen deficiency at high altitude, fractured geology, and narrow equipment transport routes. By optimizing the construction plan, innovating hoisting technology, and seizing favorable construction windows, they efficiently advanced key processes including equipment installation, line stringing, and booster station construction, and successfully completed all construction tasks.

After the project is put into operation, it can save about 30,400 tons of standard coal annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 75,900 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions by about 258.2 tons. It not only injects stable green power into the regional power grid, but is also of great significance for promoting the optimization and upgrading of the local energy structure and supporting sustainable economic and social development.
