On November 5, Unit 6 of the Huaneng Power Puqi Power Plant Phase III 2×1000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation project—China's first million-kilowatt "six units, one control" power generation project in which Jiangxi Hydropower participated in construction—successfully passed its 168-hour full-load trial operation on the first attempt, marking the full commissioning of the Puqi Power Plant. As a key component of Xianning's integrated wind-solar-thermal-storage development, the Puqi Phase III project bears the strategic mission of optimizing the regional energy structure and shoring up the power supply guarantee line, injecting new momentum into energy supply security for Hubei and even the Central China region.

The project is located in Chibi City, Xianning. This phase builds two million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired generating units, along with ultra-low emission environmental protection facilities such as desulfurization, denitrification, and dust removal. Through a highly integrated and intelligent control system, the project achieves "six units, one control" unified monitoring and dispatch of multiple units, greatly improving unit operating efficiency and management levels, creating an intelligent "brain" for a modern power plant, and providing important support for Xianning's integrated wind-solar-thermal-storage development.

The project adopts internationally leading ultra-supercritical double-reheat technology to advance the green and low-carbon transformation of coal power, continuously pushing the boundaries of steam parameters and achieving a thermal efficiency of 48.91%. It also implements "integrated flue gas collaborative treatment technology" and "zero wastewater discharge technology," significantly reducing emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, dust, and other pollutants, making a positive contribution to Hubei Province's efforts to optimize its energy structure and achieve its "dual carbon" goals.

After the Puqi Power Plant is fully commissioned, its annual power generation can reach 21 billion kWh, making it an important support point for the Hubei power grid, helping the local area build a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern energy system, and injecting surging momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
