At 4:00 p.m. local time on November 27, Unit 2 of the Ulog Hydropower Station in Bosnia and Herzegovina, constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co., Ltd. of Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), completed its water-filled commissioning and was successfully connected to the grid for power generation, laying the foundation for commercial operation.

The Ulog Hydropower Station in Bosnia and Herzegovina is POWERCHINA's first hydropower EPC project in the European market. It is a diversion-type hydropower station, with power generation as the main development task while also accommodating downstream ecological and environmental water needs, and a total installed capacity of 35.7 MW. The main structures include a concrete double-curvature arch dam (including surface spillways), a small ecological flow hydropower station, a diversion tunnel on the right bank, and a water diversion and power generation system.
Since the start of the unit's water-filled commissioning, the team has strictly followed the contract requirements, promptly completed the preparation and approval of the test plan, and carried out all related work. Through testing and commissioning, Unit 2 completed all key steps, maintained stable operation at maximum design power, and was successfully connected to the grid for power generation.
Once completed, the hydropower station will significantly enhance the local power supply capacity, promote Bosnia and Herzegovina's energy transition and environmental improvement, and further strengthen POWERCHINA's brand image.
