On November 21, Sinohydro Bureau 12 Co., Ltd. signed the contract for the Longyou County Foxiang Reservoir Project with the Shifo Township People's Government and Longbei Water Conservancy Hub Comprehensive Development Co., Ltd.

The Longyou County Foxiang Reservoir Project is located in Shifo Township and Tashi Town, Longyou County, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The project's tasks are primarily flood control, water supply, and irrigation, combined with comprehensive utilization such as improving the water ecological environment. The main construction contents include water-retaining structures, discharge and release structures, water diversion and flood distribution structures, water supply and release structures, water conveyance structures, reservoir basin renovation, and reservoir-perimeter protection works.

The Longyou County Foxiang Reservoir Project is a tractional project and major livelihood project for Longyou County in building the "one core, two poles" Longbei growth pole, with a total reservoir capacity of 36.03 million cubic meters. Once completed, the project will further enhance the flood control capacity of the Tashi Creek basin and the Qiantang River basin, improve the water resource guarantee capacity of the Longbei area, raise the flood control capacity of downstream river channels to withstand a 20-year return period flood, and simultaneously improve the water ecological environment of downstream river channels. The project will benefit a population of 132,000 people with water supply and an agricultural irrigation area of 136,000 mu, delivering significant economic, social, and ecological benefits.
