The first hollow pier of the Shao-Yong Railway's extra-large bridge over the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway was poured and capped on the 8th. This is the first hollow pier column on the entire line to complete pouring and capping, marking important phased achievements in the project's construction.

The site of the first hollow pier pouring and capping on the entire line of the Shao-Yong Railway's longest extra-large bridge.

The newly built Shaoyang-Yongzhou Railway has a total length of approximately 96 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The main line of Section 1 of the Shao-Yong Railway, constructed by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, is 34.233 kilometers long and is located in Shaoyang City, Hunan Province. Its construction scope includes stations, bridges, subgrades, beam yards, tunnels, and more. Among these, the extra-large bridge over the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway is located in Daxiang District, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province. The bridge has a total length of 4,051.58 meters and is a controlling project of the entire line, as well as the longest extra-large bridge on the Shao-Yong Railway.

To ensure the smooth progress of this pouring and capping task, the project department strengthened technical briefings and training, optimized construction plans and processes, and ensured smooth material supply. At the same time, it made meticulous arrangements for construction preparation, quality control, safety assurance, and other aspects, successfully completing the pouring and capping task of the first hollow pier column and laying a solid foundation for achieving the annual target tasks.

It is understood that the Shao-Yong High-Speed Railway is an important component of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" Hohhot-Nanning High-Speed Railway and one of the key construction projects in Hunan Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" railway development plan. After the project is completed, it will connect the central and western regions of Hunan, improve the transportation layout of Hunan Province, and extend southward through the planned Guangzhou-Qingyuan-Yongzhou High-Speed Railway to form the second Hunan-Guangdong high-speed rail corridor, building a major external corridor for southern and western Hunan to fully connect with and integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
