The route of the Huainan Huaihe River Bridge starts at the intersection of Hubin Road and Huaihe Avenue in Tianjia'an District, crosses the urban levee northward, enters Panji District after crossing the Huaihe River, then passes through the Tangyuhu Flood Retention Area and the west side of Gaohuang Town, crosses the Huaibei Main Levee, and ends at the west side of the Huainan-Huaishang Huaihe River Bridge toll station, connecting to the north bank approach of the Huaishang Huaihe River Bridge.

　　The route has a total length of approximately 9.4 kilometers, with a total estimated project investment of 2.168 billion yuan. The main bridge across the Huaihe River adopts a (350+210) meter single-tower single-column cable-stayed bridge. The bridge tower design is themed "Light of the Huaihe River," symbolizing that Huainan's energy development will shine again, and integrates Huainan's unique "Huainanzi" culture to create a new urban landmark.
