Two months ahead of schedule! Dam crest completed

Recently, the dam crest of the Xiaba Reservoir in Tibet was completed, two months ahead of the scheduled milestone. This marks the completion of the reservoir's main works, which will gradually deliver its benefits and inject strong momentum into local economic development.
Xiaba Reservoir is located in the northwest of Cuomei County, Shannan City. It is a water conservancy project focused primarily on irrigation while also supplying urban water, controlling an irrigated area of more than 11,000 mu, with a total storage capacity of 3.0684 million cubic meters. The main construction contents include a roller-compacted earth-rock dam, a tunnel-type spillway, diversion and water conveyance tunnels, observation and monitoring facilities, electrical equipment and installation works, and administrative buildings.
The project is located in a mountainous area at an average altitude of 4,170 meters, with steep terrain and a dry climate, and is year-round affected by ice and snow disasters and frost damage. In particular, the rainy season in July and August brought enormous construction pressure to the project. Since the start of construction, all staff of the project department have worked tenaciously, overcoming external difficulties such as complex terrain and harsh climate, and have accelerated construction progress while ensuring project quality, so as to put the project into use as early as possible.
