Recently, the construction site of the Jinchai Lake Reservoir Project in Jinchai Village, Wenlong Subdistrict, Qijiang District, was a scene of bustling activity. The entire dam has begun to take shape, and a stepped dam body has already been poured on the right bank of the dam.
　　It is understood that the Jinchai Lake Reservoir Project in Qijiang District consists of a hub project and a water conveyance project. It is a small (Type 1) reservoir-type comprehensive water conservancy project focused primarily on urban and rural water supply while also accommodating flood control, with a total storage capacity of 1.105 million cubic meters. Once completed, the project will meet the water supply needs of more than 26,000 people in Xinsheng Subdistrict and Wenlong Subdistrict.
　　In order to complete and put the project into use as soon as possible and benefit surrounding residents at an early date, Chongqing Nanzhou Urban Construction Development (Group) Co., Ltd. has strictly controlled the two key aspects of construction progress and project quality, and all node projects are being advanced vigorously and in an orderly manner. In only five months, 40% of the overall construction task was completed. The reservoir dam is being built in eight dam sections in total. Concrete formwork construction for dam section 4 is currently underway, preparing for subsequent stone filling and concrete pouring. The dam is expected to be completed in early December. All pipes for the water conveyance project have been fully stocked, and pipeline route setting-out has been completed. Installation is expected to begin in mid-September.
