The cutting section of the XCMG EBZ260M-2L bolter miner is low, approximately 600 mm lower than current industry bolter miners of the same power; its body width has been compressed to be about 500 mm narrower than comparable bolter miners on the market, making it suitable for thin coal seam construction.

This equipment is mainly used for soft rock, relatively hard rock, and hard rock construction in low-profile or narrow coal mine roadways. It is a roadway excavation and bolting support device integrating cutting, rock bolting, support, traveling, loading and hauling, and dust suppression spraying.

Thanks to its highlight of small size and high power, it was ordered by a customer in the early stages of product development. The construction coal mine roadway is 3.0 m high and 5.0 m wide, with hardness f5-f7, and is a 2/3 full-rock roadway. After preliminary theoretical and practical training, workers can construct 6-9 m per shift, with a maximum of 12 m per shift, achieving astonishing construction progress.

The formal construction period has been about 4 months, and approximately 1,800 m of roadway has been completed, with a monthly advance of about 450 m. The results are impressive, with efficiency improved by 40% compared with ordinary roadheaders, greatly reducing personnel labor intensity. The equipment has now been transferred to another roadway for construction, and due to its excellent construction performance, the customer has purchased another unit.
