According to the Zhongshan Municipal Transport Bureau, recently, over the course of 40 hours, the pouring of the lower crossbeam of the No. 158 main pier of the Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge on the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway project was successfully completed, marking that the Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge has fully entered the construction stage of the middle tower columns, and the project construction has moved toward a new stage.
The Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge is located within the territory of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, spanning the two towns/subdistricts of Gangkou Town and Minzhong Street. The bridge crosses the Jiya Waterway; at the bridge site, the Jiya Waterway is 390 meters wide, with a navigation class of Class II and a navigable clearance of 12.5 meters. The main bridge adopts a cable-stayed bridge with a composite girder of concrete girders and steel-concrete girders, with a main span of 408 meters crossing the Jiya Waterway, totaling 2 main piers and 6 side piers, and is a controlling project of the entire Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway line.
The lower crossbeam of the Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge is 6 meters high, 8.5 meters wide, and 30.65 meters long. To ensure the connection stability between the girder body and the tower column structure, the left and right tower columns and the lower crossbeam were poured synchronously to a height of 9.45 meters, jointly forming an "H"-shaped hollow structure, with about 1,700 cubic meters of concrete poured in a single integral pour, approximately equal to the weight of 680 Asian elephants.
It is understood that previously, the lower crossbeam of the No. 157 main pier of the Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge was poured on July 2, and the completion of the pouring of the lower crossbeam of the No. 158 main pier this time also marks the successful completion of the lower tower column process of the main pier of the Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge, successfully transitioning to the construction process of the middle tower columns.
