Changchun, September 1 (Report) — Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chang Guang Satellite") held a send-off ceremony for the "Jilin-1" SAR01A satellite on the 1st at the Jilin Aerospace Information Industrial Park in Jilin Province. This is the first microwave remote sensing satellite of the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation.

It is introduced that the "Jilin-1" SAR01A satellite is equipped with an X-band synthetic aperture radar payload, operates at an orbital altitude of 515 kilometers, and can acquire high-resolution radar image data.

The successful development of the "Jilin-1" SAR01A satellite marks a new technological breakthrough for Chang Guang Satellite in the field of complete satellite design and manufacturing. It will effectively enhance the all-day, all-weather Earth observation capability of the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation and is of great significance for expanding remote sensing data application scenarios and ensuring the timeliness of data acquisition.

After the "Jilin-1" SAR01A satellite enters the network, it can provide richer remote sensing data and product services for fields such as emergency disaster relief, resource exploration, and environmental monitoring.

It is introduced that Chang Guang Satellite has built the world's largest sub-meter commercial remote sensing satellite constellation to date, with 108 satellites in orbit, and is gradually becoming an important global source of aerospace remote sensing information.
