Recently, the Institute of Exploration Technology of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute of Exploration Technology") carried out professional "space-air-ground-deep" monitoring of the Xinpu landslide and achieved technical results.
The Xinpu landslide is located on a first-order slope on the right bank of the main stream of the Yangtze River in Anping Township, Fengjie County, Chongqing Municipality. It has attracted much attention because it threatens the lives and safety of more than 1,900 people and over 2,900 mu of navel orange orchards. The Institute of Exploration Technology established a three-dimensional model of the landslide surface using UAV optical and LiDAR measurement technologies, and identified the landslide's formation mechanism. At the same time, it conducted three-dimensional stratigraphic modeling based on landslide investigation data, obtained landslide deformation vectors through deep groundwater and deformation monitoring and InSAR and GNSS surface deformation monitoring, and established a three-dimensional geological model integrating multi-source data. The relevant professional monitoring technical results of the Institute of Exploration Technology were promptly submitted to the local government to serve its disaster prevention and mitigation work, and were affirmed by the local government.
The relevant results have been published in one paper in a well-known academic journal in the industry, and two national invention patents have been authorized, improving the technical level of three-dimensional geological modeling and monitoring and early warning of landslides.
