On January 6, the Feilong Bridge, the world's largest-span 1800-type corrugated steel web continuous rigid-frame bridge, achieved full-span closure, standing firmly at the junction of Pingma Town and Xinfu Town in Hengzhou City, Guangxi. Next, the Feilong Bridge will begin construction of the bridge deck ancillary works.
The Feilong Bridge is a key control project of the S210 Hengxian (now Hengzhou City) Pingma–Lingshan Shaping Highway project. The bridge has a total length of 940 meters and a width of 13 meters, with the main bridge span arrangement of (100+185+185+100) meters. The bridge crosses the main stem of the Yujiang River on the route from the Pinglu Canal to the Nanning Port operating area, with a designed navigable clear width of 112 meters and a clear height of 18 meters, fully meeting the navigation requirements of 5,000-tonne vessels on the Pinglu Canal. It is only 6 kilometers from the Pingtang River mouth, the starting point of the Pinglu Canal, making it one of the key projects of the inland river hub from the Pinglu Canal to Nanning Port.

After the Feilong Bridge opens to traffic, it is expected to become a new check-in spot for eco-tourism in the Xijin Reservoir wetland, and the driving time between the two banks will be shortened from 2 hours to 5 minutes. It will serve the construction of the Pinglu Canal, integrate into the "rail-road-water" intermodal transport system of the Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration and the Western Land-Sea New Corridor network, and promote the region's economy to grow strong toward the sea and flourish.
