Project Overview

The reconstruction and expansion project of the section from Bengbu Interchange to Lukou Hub of the G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway is a key construction project during Anhui Province's 14th Five-Year Plan period. It is of great significance for building the "Anhui 123 Travel Traffic Circle," enhancing the capacity of inter-provincial corridors, and advancing the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

This project is located within Hefei City, Bengbu City, and Chuzhou City, with a total route length of 107.02 km. The entire line will be reconstructed and expanded to an eight-lane expressway standard. The main technical standards are as follows:

Design speed: 120 km/h; integral subgrade width: 42 m; separated subgrade width: 2×20.75 m; design flood frequency: extra-large bridges: large, medium, and small bridges and culverts: 1/100; newly built and demolished-and-rebuilt bridges adopt Highway Class I loading, and when existing bridges are utilized, their load-bearing capacity shall meet Highway Class I loading; the pavement adopts asphalt concrete pavement with a standard axle load of BZZ-100.

Main scope of works: reconstruction and expansion of 1,867 m/4 large bridges, 2,181 m/67 medium and small bridges, and 4,231 m/40 branch road overpasses; reconstruction and expansion of 6 interchanges at Bengbu, Xiquanjie, Yongkang, Jiuzi, Shuangmiao, and Lukou, utilization of 1 interchange at Jiuzi, reservation of Tuanjie Interchange, and addition of 2 interchanges at Wudian and Jiangji; reconstruction and expansion of 1 service area at Wuxu and addition of 1 service area at Caomiao.
