On November 24, the 2023 9th ITA Awards ceremony was held in Mumbai, India. At the ceremony, seven major awards were announced one by one, including the highly anticipated Major Project of the Year (over €500 million), the Best Project of the Year (€50 million–500 million), the Project of the Year (including renovation, under €50 million), the Technical Innovation of the Year, the Beyond Engineering Award, the Product/Equipment Innovation of the Year, and the Young Tunnel Engineer of the Year.

China won 3 ITA Awards, namely the Best Project of the Year (Shenzhen Binhai Avenue (Headquarters Base Section) Comprehensive Traffic Reconstruction Project), the Technical Innovation of the Year (Prefabricated Assembly Construction Technology for Subway Stations), and the Product/Equipment Innovation of the Year (the "TBM + Earth Pressure + Slurry" Three-Mode Shield), making China the country with the most awards this year.
