Recently, the SH58F multi-functional rotary drilling rig, a new product from Jintai Guosi, made its debut in the pile foundation construction of the Liming Bridge in the Yuwei Expressway section in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. The project features large bore diameters, great depths, hard strata, abundant sand layers, and easy hole collapse, with complex techniques and a tight schedule, making construction somewhat difficult. The Jintai Guosi SH58F has now completed the sixth ultra-deep bored cast-in-place pile with a depth of 82 m. With fast construction speed and high hole-forming quality, it has won high recognition from the contractor.

Stratum Distribution Description

Strata of the project: 0 m–27 m is a pebble layer, 27 m–30 m is strongly weathered mudstone, 30 m–49 m is shaly mudstone, 49 m–70 m is a sand layer, 70 m–75 m is strongly weathered sandy mudstone, and 75 m–82 m is a sand layer. The actual construction strata are relatively hard and have a sand content of more than 30%, making hole collapse likely. In response to these geological characteristics, the site adopted the process method of "rotary drilling + reverse-circulation desander" for construction. Based on summarizing the experience from the first ultra-deep pile, the contractor and Jintai technical personnel adhered to the principle of "adapting measures to the pile and taking multiple measures simultaneously" to ensure hole-forming quality. The current pile-forming efficiency has gradually increased from 60 hours per pile to 48 hours per pile, with overall machine efficiency improved by more than 20%, providing a strong guarantee for the subsequent construction schedule.
