On November 6, the main towers of the Dongjin Yellow River Bridge, in whose construction China Railway 14th Bureau Group participated, were all capped, and the bridge will fully enter the stages of steel girder erection and stay cable installation. This is also the 9th river-crossing bridge built over the Yellow River by China Railway 14th Bureau Group.

The Dongjin Yellow River Bridge is the A-shaped cable-stayed bridge with the largest span in the Yellow River Delta, with a main span of 420 meters. The capped main tower is 134.6 meters high and is an A-shaped bridge tower without a lower cross beam, with a maximum cantilever length of 106 meters and an inclination angle of 81 degrees. It is the controlling project of the bridge's main structure, featuring high technical difficulty and great construction risk.
The project department continuously optimized the plan in a reasonable manner and solved the construction challenge of a maximum cantilever of 106 meters, adopting hydraulic climbing formwork to climb upward at an average speed of 1 meter per day. Strict measurements were carried out on the axial force of the cross bracing, changes in tensile and compressive stress of the tower columns, smoothness of the main tower alignment, and axis deviation, ultimately achieving the minimum alignment error. At the same time, fully enclosed measures were adopted at the bridge construction work faces to isolate the impact of construction on the river and effectively protect the ecological environment of the Yellow River Basin.

After the bridge is completed, it will further strengthen the ability of the Yellow River Delta region to connect with the national expressway network, optimize the transportation layout, ease the pressure of cross-Yellow River traffic, and be of great significance for promoting coordinated regional development and advancing the implementation of the national strategy for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
