On October 25, the first cap of the main pier of Tantou Grand Bridge of the NO.5-1 bid section of the Guangxi Rongfu Expressway, constructed by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division South Company, was successfully poured.

To ensure the smooth pouring of the first cap, the project department planned ahead, made scientific arrangements, and carried out construction reasonably. It strictly implemented the first-item engineering system, set up model guidance, and, in accordance with the first-cap construction plan and relevant drawings and specification requirements, required relevant technical disclosure work to be done well and actively carried out pre-shift construction safety and quality education and training. During cap construction, the project department strictly debugged and controlled the tying of cap reinforcement, installation of formwork, concrete mix proportion, hydration heat monitoring of mass concrete, and the speed of concrete pouring and vibration process. During construction, the thickness of layered concrete pouring and vibration were strictly controlled to ensure the density of finished components, striving to ensure that the components are solid inside and beautiful outside. As a key control project of the entire Rongfu Expressway, the smooth pouring of the first cap of Tantou Grand Bridge has played an important guiding role for the subsequent construction of the bridge.

It is reported that the Guangxi Rongfu Expressway is an important transportation route connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and also an important tourism route linking Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong and other provinces and regions. After the project is completed, it will become the most convenient inter-provincial corridor from Guizhou through Guangxi to Guangdong, and is of great significance for improving Guangxi's expressway network and driving tourism development along the route.
