Conference Background

Since the Cross-Strait Geotechnical Engineering/Geotechnical Technology Exchange Symposium was first held in Beijing in 1992, it has been held eleven times in succession in Taipei (1993), Xi'an (1994), Shanghai (2002), Taipei (2004), Tianjin (2007), Taichung (2009), Guangzhou (2011), Taipei (2013), Chengdu (2016), and Sun Moon Lake, Nantou (2018). The conference continues to be held alternately between the mainland and Taiwan every two years, and has played a tremendous role in promoting understanding, strengthening friendship, developing technology, and achieving win-win cooperation between the geotechnical engineering/geotechnical technology communities on both sides of the strait.

This year marks the convening of the 12th Cross-Strait Geotechnical Engineering/Geotechnical Technology Exchange Symposium in the mainland. We warmly welcome colleagues from both sides of the strait to attend!

November 10, 2023: The 6th Dr. Chen Dousheng Memorial Lecture, plenary reports, cross-strait guest dialogue, and closing ceremony.
