On September 11, accompanied by a roar, the 7-meter-diameter "Hangde No. 1" shield machine broke through the wall of the shield receiving shaft at the east end of the intermediate ventilation shaft on the Hangde Municipal Railway project, marking the smooth completion of the longest section and most complex tunnel of the Hangde Municipal Railway project.

The Hangde Municipal Railway is a "lead goose" project for implementing the Yangtze River Delta integration development strategy, supporting the Greater Bay Area and Hangzhou metropolitan area strategies, and building a "Railway-on-Track Huzhou." It is also a flagship project for Deqing County to proactively integrate into Yangtze River Delta integration and advance national and provincial-municipal development strategies such as "connecting with Shanghai and integrating with Hangzhou" and Huzhou-Hangzhou integration.

As of now, all 6 stations of the Hangde Municipal Railway project have been topped out. The line has a total of 14 single-track tunnels; 5 shield machines are currently tunneling normally, and 6 tunnels have been completed.
