Recently, the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology issued the "Notice on Issuing the 2023 Regional Development and Other Science and Technology Project Plans" [Min Ke Zi [2023] No. 7]. The research project "Research and Application of Microbial Prevention and Treatment Technology for Crack Diseases of Existing Marine PHC Pipe Piles," jointly declared with Yongqiang Geotechnical as the lead applicant, was included in the 2023 Fujian Provincial Regional Development Project Plan and received project approval and research funding support from the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology.

This project was jointly declared by Yongqiang Geotechnical, Tsinghua University, Fujian Communications Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Guoneng (Fuzhou) Thermal Power Co., Ltd. Aiming at the crack disease problem of large-diameter prestressed high-strength concrete pipe piles (PHC pipe piles for short) in existing marine structures, it develops green, environmentally friendly, efficient and durable microbial mineralization repair materials and process technologies. The implementation of the project and the promotion and application of its technologies will enhance the role of science and technology in addressing major public safety hazards and disasters at port wharves, and effectively promote the development of the disaster prevention and mitigation emergency industry.
