On August 16, the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) organized the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as BICES 2023) Professional User Symposium for the Sichuan Transportation and Municipal System (hereinafter referred to as the User Symposium) in Chengdu, Sichuan. This was also the sixth out-of-Beijing professional user symposium held by BICES 2023, following those in Shandong, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shaanxi and other places. At the meeting, representatives of the BICES Organizing Committee introduced the latest preparations for BICES 2023 and the latest situation of the construction machinery industry to major user units in Sichuan Province, and extended an invitation to the attending representatives to visit BICES 2023. Lyu Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association and General Manager of Beijing Tianshi Huagong International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition Company), Zhang Xinong, Secretary-General of the Association's Road Construction and Maintenance Machinery Branch, Lei Daqiang, General Manager of Sichuan Jiuluchang Road Maintenance Co., Ltd., the organizer of the User Symposium, and more than 40 representatives of user units in the Sichuan transportation and municipal system, including the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation, Sichuan Road and Bridge Construction, Sichuan Road and Bridge, Sichuan Transportation Construction, China MCC5 and Chengdu Municipal, attended the meeting.

Lyu Ying first welcomed the representatives of Sichuan user units, expressed gratitude for their support of the Association's industry work and the BICES exhibition, and then focused on the structure and development overview of the construction machinery industry, key breakthrough technologies and development directions of the construction machinery industry, and the digital and intelligent application of construction machinery. In introducing the preparations for BICES 2023, Lyu Ying stated that with the strong and firm support of all parties in the industry, this year's exhibition, centered on the theme of "Digital Efficiency, Green Reliability," will showcase a large number of high-end, intelligent and green construction machinery products and technologies, and that suppliers and service providers in some new fields will bring the latest service solutions for the first time. BICES 2023 will be the high-quality industry exhibition this year with the largest number of leading global construction machinery enterprises directly participating in the Eurasia region. At present, all preparations for the exhibition are basically in place, and the work concerning exhibitors, user visitors, activities and publicity has fully entered the sprint preparation stage before the opening. At the end of the meeting, Lyu Ying extended an invitation to Sichuan user units to visit and stated that reception preparations would be well made.

Lei Daqiang delivered a speech on behalf of the organizing unit of the User Symposium, thanking all guests for their presence. He stated that Sichuan Jiuluchang Road Maintenance Co., Ltd. was grateful for the Association's trust and support in serving as the organizer of this meeting, thanked the Association for bringing the latest industry and exhibition information to Sichuan user units in a centralized manner for the first time, and said that it would assist in organizing the autumn visit of Sichuan user units to the BICES 2023 exhibition in Beijing.

During the discussion and exchange session, representatives of the attending user units expressed gratitude to the Association and BICES for organizing this meeting. Through this meeting, they not only learned about the latest development trends of the construction machinery industry but also gained a deeper understanding of BICES 2023 in Beijing. They all stated that they would organize relevant personnel from their units to visit the exhibition site in Beijing, expressed their current needs and suggestions for green, intelligent, unmanned and highly safe equipment, and looked forward to seeing more such equipment and solutions at BICES 2023 in Beijing in September, as well as reuniting and exchanging views with old and new friends in the industry. They also welcomed the Association to come to Sichuan again in the future to organize similar meetings and activities. The attending representatives also exchanged views on the problems existing in the current use of equipment in the transportation and municipal system.
