On July 11, 2023, the Seminar and Exchange Meeting on the Development of Electrification and Intelligentization of Construction Machinery was held in Beijing. The leaders attending this meeting included: Su Zimeng, President of the China Construction Machinery Association; Li Jianyou, Vice President of the Association and President of the Dual Carbon Working Committee; Wu Peiguo, Secretary-General; Wang Jinxing, Deputy Secretary-General; Di Pengyuan, Secretary-General of the Dual Carbon Working Committee; Song Hongjun, Senior Researcher of the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Research Institute of SDIC Capital Investment Management Co., Ltd.; Qian Tao, Chief Engineer of the Machinery Industry Information Research Institute; as well as more than 40 representatives from industry enterprises in complete machines, supporting components, and the three electrics (battery, motor, electronic control), who attended this meeting. Secretary-General Wu Peiguo presided over the meeting.

President Su Zimeng extended a warm welcome to all the comrades attending the meeting and introduced the recent development of the industry, emphasizing that the industry's development of electrification and intelligentization should take enterprises as the main body and the market as the driving force, adhere to innovation-driven development, and strive to achieve coordinated development of the industrial chain and supply chain.

Senior Researcher Song Hongjun stated that the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry. The electrification and intelligentization of construction machinery have achieved phased results and formed a broad consensus. He hoped that the industry would work together to continue promoting the electrified and intelligent development of the construction machinery industry.

Vice President Li Jianyou pointed out that in the face of national dual carbon policy requirements and fierce domestic and international market competition, the industry should strengthen the development of electrification and intelligentization, strengthen the innovation and application of green and low-carbon technologies, strengthen the formulation of relevant standards, and put forward suggestions on doing a good job in top-level design and overall optimization. At the same time, the Association's Dual Carbon Committee will certainly actively do its work to promote the in-depth development of electrification and intelligentization in the industry.

Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jinxing explained the next steps of work, stating that the Association would actively listen to enterprises' opinions and implement this work well.

At the seminar, representatives from 27 complete machine, supporting component, and three electrics enterprises, including XCMG, Sany, Zoomlion, LiuGong, Heli, Hangcha, Lingong, China Railway Engineering Equipment, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry, CATL, Hengli Hydraulic, and Aidi Hydraulic, spoke successively. Based on their respective development situations, everyone expressed their views and opinions on the industry's electrification and intelligentization, and also put forward many constructive suggestions. Everyone engaged in in-depth exchanges and active discussions, jointly offering suggestions and strategies for the development of electrification and intelligentization in the industry. At the same time, through everyone's exchanges, the current development status of electrification and intelligentization, existing problems, and key work that needs to be further carried out were preliminarily clarified.
