On the evening of July 12, a ship collided with the Beidou Bridge in Panyu, Guangzhou, causing severe cracks at one of the bridge's bases.
Due to the pier being struck, traffic control has temporarily been implemented in both directions on the Beidou Bridge in Panyu District, and passage is prohibited. Citizens and vehicles are requested to take detours.
