On May 25, the construction site of the Yichang Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge was bustling with activity, as workers carried out high-altitude painting of the bridge structure and dismantling of the construction catwalk. The bridge as a whole has entered the final construction stage and is expected to be completed and meet traffic-opening conditions before July.
The bridge is one of the 19 Yangtze River crossings in Hubei Province designated in the State Council's "Yangtze River Economic Belt Comprehensive Three-Dimensional Transport Corridor Plan." It has a total length of 2,813 meters, features six lanes in both directions, and has a designed mainline speed of 80 km/h.
