Zhejiang Equipment Manufacturing Value-Added Up 9.2% Year-on-Year in Jan-Nov 2013

From January to November 2013, Zhejiang's equipment manufacturing industry maintained rapid growth, with value-added increasing 9.2% year-on-year, 0.7 percentage points higher than the average level of industrial enterprises above designated size and 0.3 percentage points higher than the first three quarters. Among them, special-purpose equipment, automobile manufacturing, communications , metal products and general-purpose equipment saw relatively rapid value-added growth, at 12.3%, 11.6%, 11.4%, 9.7% and 9.0% respectively.

The steady and relatively rapid development of the equipment manufacturing industry drove industrial growth across the province. The contribution of equipment manufacturing value-added growth to the province's industrial value-added growth rose from 2.9 percentage points in the first quarter to 3.1 percentage points in January-November. Among them, general-purpose equipment and electrical machinery manufacturing contributed the most, driving the province's industrial value-added growth by 1.2 percentage points in January-November.
