Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Holds National On-Site Meeting on Affordable Housing Construction in Xi'an

On March 1, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development held a national on-site meeting on affordable housing construction in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. The meeting earnestly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on advancing affordable housing construction, exchanged and promoted experience and best practices, deployed the next steps, and pushed for greater construction and supply of affordable housing. Dong Jianguo, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Responsible officials in charge of the 18 city governments and principal officials of their housing and urban-rural development departments attended the meeting and made exchange speeches.

10 Departments Jointly Issue the 2024 Edition of the Green and Low-Carbon Transition Industry Guidance Catalogue

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and eight other departments jointly issued the Green and Low-Carbon Transition Industry Guidance Catalogue (2024 Edition) (hereinafter referred to as the Catalogue). The Catalogue was revised and formulated on the basis of the Green Industry Guidance Catalogue (2019 Edition), in light of the new situation, new tasks, and new requirements of green development. It specifies the detailed sub-categories and specific connotations of key green and low-carbon transition industries, such as the energy-saving and carbon-reduction industry and the environmental protection industry, providing a basis for local authorities and various departments to formulate and improve relevant industry support policies, and offering support for cultivating and strengthening new drivers of green development and accelerating the green transition of development modes.

On the morning of February 28, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to brief on high-quality transport development in service of Chinese modernization. Minister of Transport Li Xiaopeng said at the meeting that the national comprehensive multidimensional transport network is being improved at a faster pace. In 2023, national fixed-asset investment in transport reached 3.9 trillion yuan; 2,776 kilometers of new high-speed rail were opened; 7,000 kilometers of expressways were newly built or upgraded; 1,000 kilometers of waterways were added or improved; the number of commercial aviation airports reached 259; and postal services now reach all administrative villages across the country.

2023 Anhui Transportation Quality Engineering Award Selection Results

In accordance with the 'Anhui Transportation Quality Engineering Award Selection Measures', the Anhui Highway Construction Industry Association recently organized and carried out the 2023 Transportation Quality Engineering Award selection process.
