Recently, the Work Safety Committee of the State Council and the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters issued the "Notice on Effectively Strengthening Urban Safety Work." Metro construction and operating companies are required to comprehensively carry out self-inspection and self-correction of flood prevention emergency measures and thoroughly rectify prominent problems and hidden dangers. In particular, for key areas such as low-lying stations, transition sections, and long extended intervals, inspections should focus on the capacity of drainage equipment and facilities, safety risk patrols and monitoring should be further strengthened, and emergency measures such as suspending train operations, evacuating passengers, and closing stations should be promptly taken in unconventional situations such as rainfall intensity exceeding design standards.
