International Geotechnical Award | Academician Liu Hanlong, Professor Xiao Yang and Others Receive the Prix Fredlund Award from the Canadian Geotechnical Society

Recently, Professor Liu Hanlong, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Biogeotechnics and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Xiao Yang, Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal and recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and others were honored with the 2024 Prix Fredlund Award conferred by the Canadian Geotechnical Society. This is their second time receiving the honor, following their receipt of the Fredlund Award in 2023. The award is named after the internationally renowned geotechnical scholar and Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering Delwyn G. Fredlund, and recognizes the most highly cited paper published in the Canadian Geotechnical Journal over the past five years. Since its establishment in 2018, only one paper worldwide has been selected for this award each year.
